Often not all the terrain surface is necessary in your game scene.
In this case you could prefer to hide parts of the terrain that are never seen by the player.
To do this you can use the terrain Tiles editor tool.
To access it, click on the icon:
Tile brush dmension
The tiles editor allows you to hide / show every single tile that compose the terrain.
The operation is similar to painting and sculpting.
There is a squared green brush in screen that snap on the terrain tiles ans allows you to see on what tile the operation will be performed in any moment:
To hide tiles you have to hold LSHIFT+Left Mouse button on the tiles you want to hide.
To show tiles simply hold left mouse button on the tiles you want to show.
Brush Radius:
Here you can set the dimension of the brush used for painting / erasing the tiles.
Tiles are simply graphically hidden.
This means that ray-casting / physics still works on hidden tiles.
